The Company agrees to include on an employee’s T4 slip for income tax purposes the total Union dues paid for the year, excluding any initiation fees. 5.04 A list of the total number of employees, along with all sums deducted as above shall be remitted by the Company to the financial secretary of the local Union by the 15th of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. This list will contain employee names, payroll numbers, addresses and telephone numbers, along with the amount of such deductions and the reason, if any, why no deductions were made from certain employees. This list will also indicate any employee whose employment is terminated, transferred out of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave of absence, or died. The Company will also provide the financial secretary with the monthly alphabetical employee list. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day of the calendar month in which the deduction was made. 5.05 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisions.

3. The Employer, for those bargaining unit Employees who authorize it, shall deduct from the wages of such bargaining unit Employees the regular Union initiation fees and membership dues (including assessments that have been approved by the Executive Board and voted on by the membership in writing, two (2) weeks in advance accordance with the By-Laws of the relevant Union) and remit the same to the duly authorized representatives of the Union no later than the last day of each month of any changes in monthly dues for which such deductions are to be made. Said Union initiation fees, dues and assessments shall be deducted from the amounts due employees; provided that such Employees shall have earned an amount sufficient to cover such initiation fees, dues and assessments, or pay an amount in lieu of dues and initiation fees which represents the Union’s cost germane to representing employees.
4. The Company agrees Employer shall receive seventy-two (72) hours written notice to include on an employee’s T4 slip discharge any Employee for income tax purposes the total non-payment of Union dues paid for the year, excluding any or initiation fees. Upon the affected Employee’s failure to make such payment within said seventy-two (72) hours, the Employer agrees immediately to discharge said Employee.

Once the funds are remitted to the Union, their disposition thereafter shall be the sole and exclusive obligation and responsibility of the Union.

The Employer will allow time for the Union to meet with the new hire at the end of New Hire Orientation. It is the responsibility of the Union to notify the Employer of its intent to attend.

6. When the Union Notifies the University that an employee revokes their union authorization, the university will discontinue deducting union dues beginning on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisionsthe next full pay periods after notification.

7.04 The Union shall advise the Employer in writing of the amount of Union dues to be deducted from every employee covered by this Agreement and of any changes in the amounts to be deducted. The Union shall advise the Employer in writing of the name and address of the National Secretary‐Treasurer of the Union and of any changes thereto.
7.05 The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment is terminatedset out in this Article.
7.06 The Employer shall include the amount of union dues deducted on each employee's T‐4 slip.
7.07 The Union shall be notified of all staff changes occurring within the bargaining unit on a monthly basis including, transferred out but not limited to, new hires, recalls, retirements, resignations, terminations, promotions, Special Project Workers who have become part of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave and employees completing their probationary period.
7.08 Employees shall notify the Employer of absence, any changes in their address or died. The Company will also telephone number within two (2) weeks of the change.
7.09 Employees shall provide the financial secretary their immediate supervisor/manager with the monthly alphabetical employee list. The Company will reimburse name of their emergency contact and notify of any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day changes within two (2) weeks of the calendar month in which the deduction was madechange.

4.04 The Company will maintain and post in a secure location an up-dated seniority list on the fifteenth (15th) day of each month. Such list shall show employees’ job classifications. Additionally, the Company shall submit a list of all probationary employees. Copies of such lists shall be provided to the Plant Chairperson on the fifteenth (15th) day of each month. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to supply the Company before Plant Chairperson with the last day following information monthly with the check-off dues: Employees by rate and classification. Employees transferred out of the calendar month in which the deduction was madeBargaining Unit, including date of transfer. Employees on layoff and recall. Employees who have lost seniority. Employees who quit, retire, or are discharged, and New hires with first date of work. The Company will provide on a quarterly basis or monthly if requested by Chairperson names, addresses and phone numbers on file of all Bargaining Unit employees and a list of supervisors and other non- Bargaining Unit employees who would be expected to have direct contact with Union Representatives as part of their usual job responsibilities.

5.02 Present probationary employees and newly hired employees upon completion of their probationary period, shall become and remain members in good standing of the Union according to the Constitution and By-laws of the Union, and will provided that the Employer shall not be required to continue to be discharge an employee who has been expelled or suspended from membership in the Union, other than for engaging in unlawful activity against the Union. New employees covered by this Agreement shall become members in good standing in the Union within thirty (30) calendar days from the respective dates of the Union commencement of their employment.
7.02 Pursuant to Clause 7.01, the Employer shall deduct the regular monthly union dues from the wages of all employees as a condition of employment for employment. Such deduction shall be made on a per-pay basis and remitted to the duration of this Agreement.
5.03 The Company will deduct from the pay of each employee, including new hirees, the monthly dues and other assessments authorized by the constitution National Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. The initiation fee shall be taken off the following pay period after the employee has completed his probationary period. This deduction will be shown on a separate column on the Union dues list prescribed in 5.04. The Company agrees to include on an employee’s T4 slip for income tax purposes the total Union dues paid for the year, excluding any initiation fees.
5.04 A list of the total number of employees, along with all sums deducted as above shall be remitted by the Company to the financial secretary of the local Union by the 15th day of the month following the month in for which the deductions dues were made. This deducted, accompanied by a list will contain employee of names, payroll numbersaddresses, addresses and telephone numbershome phone numbers of employees from whose wages deductions have been made, along with the amount of such deductions their work location, job title, and the reason, if any, why no deductions were made from certain employeesnumber of hours for which each employee was compensated. 7.03 The Union will indemnify and save the Employer harmless from any and all claims which may be made against either party by an employee whose or employees for the amounts deducted from their pay as provided by this Article.
7.04 The Union shall advise the Employer in writing of the amount of Union dues to be deducted from every employee covered by this Agreement and of any changes in the amounts to be deducted. The Union shall advise the Employer in writing of the name and address of the National Secretary-Treasurer of the Union and of any changes thereto.
7.05 The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment is terminatedset out in this Article.
7.06 The Employer shall include the amount of union dues deducted on each employee's T-4 slip.
7.07 The Union shall be notified of all staff changes occurring within the bargaining unit on a monthly basis including, transferred out but not limited to, new hires, recalls, retirements, resignations, terminations, promotions, Special Project Workers who have become part of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave and employees completing their probationary period
7.08 Employees shall notify the Employer of absence, any changes in their address or died. The Company will also telephone number within two (2) weeks of the change.
7.09 Employees shall provide the financial secretary their immediate supervisor/manager with the monthly alphabetical employee list. The Company will reimburse name of their emergency contact and notify of any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day changes within two (2) weeks of the calendar month in which the deduction was madechange.
5.05 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisions.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority Section 1 The County and the Union agree to a "Fair Share" agreement for all employees in the bargaining unit.
Section 2 Each employee who are currently members is a member of the Union will be required to continue to be members of bargaining unit which the Union serves as certified agent but who is not a condition of employment for the duration of this Agreement.
5.02 Present probationary employees member and newly hired employees upon completion of their probationary period, shall become members chooses to remain not a member of the Union, and will inasmuch as it is required that the Union represent every employee within the bargaining unit, making each employee thus a recipient of the Union's services, it is mutually agreed and recognized by the parties that each employee shall proportionately and fairly share in the cost of the collective bargaining process. Therefore, the cost per employee is fixed proportionately at the amount of dues uniformly required of each member of the Union, which amount shall be required deducted monthly from each Union member and each non-Union member's compensation. The aggregate deductions of all employees shall be remitted together with an itemized statement to continue the Treasurer of the Union by the 10th day of the succeeding month after such deductions are made.
Section 3 Such uniform amounts as the Union Treasurer certifies to be the County as the monthly dues approved by the members of the Union shall remain as a condition of employment for the duration of this Agreementreasonable amount to be deducted hereunder.
5.03 Section 4 A like amount in lieu of dues will be automatically deducted from all employees in the bargaining unit who have not signed an authorization form requesting Union membership dues deduction. Employees terminating with less than ten (10) working days in any calendar month will not be subject to dues or a like amount in lieu of dues deduction.
Section 5 Any individual employee objection based on bona fide religious tenants or teachings of a church or religious body of which such employee is a member will require such employee to inform the county and the Union of his/her objection. The Company will deduct from employee shall meet with the pay of each employee, including new hirees, the monthly dues and other assessments authorized by the constitution representatives of the Union. 5.05 6.4 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless harm- less against any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisions.
6.5 The Company will, upon written authorization by the employee, deduct from the earnings of all skilled trades’ employees the sum of 50% of one (1) hour’s pay including COLA, per year in the month of January, and such deduction to be forwarded to: Secretary Treasurer Windsor & Essex County Skilled Trades Council c/o Unifor Local 2458 ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ New employees will have fees deducted from the first pay following receipt of written authorization from the Canadian Skilled Trades Council.
6.6 The Company agrees to supplement regular full-time employees for lost time earnings who are absent from work at their straight time rate, provided they are on an approved and authorized Union leave of absence of not more than five (5) consecutive work days. If there are situations whereby the approved leave of absence will be longer than five days, it will require personnel’s approval. The President of Local 1941 and or the Plant Chairperson shall forward to the Company a list of names and the amount of lost time hours to be paid by the Company. The Company will then be reimbursed by Local 1941 Unifor within 14 days of submitting an invoice/statement to the Union.
6.7 The Company agrees to pay the Plant Bargaining Committee during negotiations at the applicable rate of pay had the employee been at work. As well the Company agrees to pay the Plant Bargaining Committee their regular weekly pay regardless of shift type, at the applicable rate for five (5) days of preparation prior to negotiations
6.8 It is understood that while the Bargaining Committee is out of the plant for negotiations and preparation for negotiations the entire Committee will be replaced. The replacements will be chosen by the Union and paid the appropriate wages of the Union’s positions as prescribed by Schedule “A”.

4.4 The Company will maintain and post in a secure location an updated seniority list on the fifteenth (15th) day of each month. Such list shall show employees’ job classifications. 4.5 The Company will supply the Plant Chairperson with the following information monthly alphabetical employee listwith the check-off dues: Employees by rate and classification. Employees transferred out of the Bargaining Unit, including date of transfer. Employees on layoff and recall. Employees who have lost seniority. Employees who quit, retire, or are discharged, and New hires with first date of work. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that provide if requested by Chairperson names, addresses and phone numbers on file of all bargaining unit employees and a list of supervisors and other non- bargaining unit employees who would be expected to have been deducted in error direct contact with Union Representatives as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day part of the calendar month in which the deduction was made.their usual job responsibilities

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 (12) All present seniority employees in the bargaining unit covered by this Contract who are currently members of the Union will be required to on the date the Contract is signed and all other employees in such bargaining unit who become members of the Union at any time in the future shall, for the term of this contract, continue to be members of the Union. 1. All non-probationary employees covered by this Contract who are members of the Union shall be required to continue pay dues. Employees are not required to be members of join the Union as a condition of employment employment; however, all non-probationary employees who do not become members of Local 10 shall be required, as a condition of employment, to pay a fair share fee only to cover, and shall not exceed the employee's pro-rata share of:
(1) the direct costs incurred by the Union in negotiating and administering this Contract and of settling grievances and disputes arising under this Contract; and (2) the Union's expenses incurred for activities normally and reasonably employed to effectuate its duties as the exclusive representative of the employees in the bargaining unit covered by this Contract. In the event that any employee who is required to pay a fair share fee to the Union objects to the propriety of the Union's use of such fee, the entire amount of the objecting employee's fee shall be placed by the City into an interest-bearing escrow account, pending the exhaustion of the Union's internal rebate procedure and any determination by the State Employment Relations Board, pursuant to the provisions of O.R.C. 4117.09 (C). The Union hereby represents that (a) it has provided all non-member employees with adequate information about the basis for the duration of this Agreementfair share fee calculation and (b) any dispute regarding the fair share fee is subject to prompt decision by an impartial decision maker.
5.03 2. It shall be the responsibility of the Union to establish the amount of such a fair share fee and to notify all affected employees of the established fair share fee. 5.05 4.06 Any dispute as to an alleged breach of the provisions of this article or as to the interpretation of any of the terms or conditions thereof, shall be dealt with under the grievance procedure beginning at Step III.
4.07 Unless prohibited by the law, the Company agrees to include on an employee's T-4 slip for income tax purposes, the total union dues paid for the year excluding any initiation fees.

4.09 The following procedure will be applied for the payment and reimbursement of employees on authorized Union Leaves of Absence:
(i) The President of C.A.W. Local 1451 or his/her designated representative will authorize Union leaves of absence to be paid by the Company on behalf of the Local Union on a form supplied by the Company.

6.06 The Company will, upon written authorization by the employee, deduct from the earnings of all skilled trades’ employees the sum of 50% of one (1) hour’s pay per year in the month of January, and such deduction to be forwarded to the financial secretary of the local union. New employees will have fees deducted from the first pay following receipt of written authorization from the Canadian Skilled Trades Council.
6.07 The Company agrees to supplement regular full-time employees for lost time earnings who are absent from work at their straight time rate, provided they are on an approved and authorized union leave of absence of not more than five (5) consecutive work days. If there are situations whereby the approved leave of absence will be longer than five days it will require personnel’s approval. The President of Local 1941 and or the Plant Chairperson shall forward to the Company a list of names and the amount of lost time hours to be paid by the Company. The Company will then be reimbursed by Local 1941 C.A.W. within 14 days of submitting an invoice/statement to the Union.
6.08 The Company agrees to pay the Plant Bargaining Committee during negotiations at the applicable rate of pay had the employee been at work. 7.05 The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment set out in this article, Article.

7.07 Employees shall notify the Employer of any changes in their address or in reliance on telephone number within two (2) weeks of the change.

5.02 Present probationary employees and newly hired 6.02 Probationary employees upon completion of their probationary period, shall become members of the Union, and will be required to continue to be members of the Union as a condition of employment for the duration of this Agreement.

The Company shall deduct from each employee’s regular supplemental unemployment benefits the monthly dues and other assessments as authorized by the constitution of the Union. The Union will notify the Company, in writing, two (2) weeks in advance of the relevant month of any changes in monthly dues deductions to be made. The Company agrees to include on an employee’s T4 slip for income tax purposes the total Union dues paid for the year, excluding any initiation fees. The Employer will endeavour to provide such T4 slips to employees by February 15th of each year.
5.04 6.04 A list of the total number of employees, along with all sums deducted as above shall be remitted by the Company to the financial secretary of the local Union by the 15th of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. This list will contain employee employees’ names, payroll numbers, addresses and telephone numbers, along with the amount of such deductions and the reason, if any, why no deductions were made from certain employees. This list will also indicate any employee whose employment is terminated, transferred out of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave of absence, or diedhave deceased. The Company will also provide the financial secretary with the monthly alphabetical employee listlist and a copy provided to the unit chairperson. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day of the calendar month in which the deduction was made.
5.05 6.05 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisions.
6.06 The Company will, upon written authorization by the employee, deduct from the earnings of all skilled trades’ employees the sum of 50% of one
(1) hour’s pay including COLA, per year in the month of January, and such deduction to be forwarded to the financial secretary of the local Union. New employees will have fees deducted from the first pay following receipt of written authorization from the Canadian Skilled Trades Council.
6.07 The Company agrees to supplement regular full-time employees for lost time earnings who are absent from work at their straight time rate, provided they are on an approved and authorized Union leave of absence of not more than five (5) consecutive work days. If there are situations whereby the approved leave of absence will be longer than five days it will require personnel’s approval. The President of Local 1941 and or the Plant Chairperson shall forward to the Company a list of names and the amount of lost time hours to be paid by the Company. The Company will then be reimbursed by Local 1941 C.A.W. within 14 days of submitting an invoice/statement to the Union.
6.08 The Company agrees to pay the Plant Bargaining Committee during negotiations at the applicable rate of pay had the employee been at work. As well the Company agrees to pay the Plant Bargaining Committee for five (5) working days at the applicable rates for contract preparation prior to negotiations
6.09 It is understood that while the Bargaining Committee is out of the plant for negotiations and preparation for negotiations the entire Committee will be replaced. The replacements will be chosen by the Union and paid the appropriate wages of the Union’s positions as prescribed by Schedule “A”.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 6.01 All present seniority crosswalk guards, as a condition of continuing employment, shall become and remain members in good standing of the Union according to the Constitution and bylaws of the Union. All future employees, as a condition of continuing employment, shall become and remain members in good standing of the Union upon commencement of employment with the Employer.
6.02 The Employer shall deduct from employees who are currently covered by the Agreement any weekly dues, initiations, or assessments levied in accordance with the Union Constitution and/or bylaws, and owing by them to the Union.
6.03 Deductions shall be made from the payroll and shall be forwarded to the National Treasurer of the Union not later than the 15th day of the month following, accompanied by a list of all employees from whose wages the deductions have been made denoting the amount deducted and the normal gross earnings of the employee in that period.
(a) During the interview process, the Employer will advise potential employees that a Union collective agreement is in effect.
(b) The Employer shall advise each new employee of the names of shop stewards and executive members which shall be provided by the Union and a copy of the current Agreement shall be provided to each new employee by the Employer.
(c) When the Employer hosts an orientation session prior to the start of the school year, the Union will be required permitted thirty (30) minutes to continue to be members of the Union as make a condition of employment for the duration of this Agreement.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority employees 3.1 The Parties agree to comply with the Michigan Right to Work Law, Public Act No. 348. 5.05 3.3 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company Employer harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits and lawsuits, or other forms of liability that may arise out of of, or by reason of any of, action taken or not taken by the Company Employer in making payroll deductions as herein above defined. In cases where a deduction is made which duplicates a payment already made to the Union by an employee, or where a deduction is not in conformity with the provisions of the Union Constitution and Bylaws, refunds to the employee will be made by the Union.
3.4 There shall be no collection of dues, assessments or fines by the Union during working hours on Library premises.
3.5 Any employee whose employment is terminated, or any employee who is transferred to a classification not in the bargaining unit, or any employee whose seniority is broken by death, quit, discharge, layoff or any other grounds for loss of seniority provided for in this Agreement shall cease to be subject to the checkoff deductions beginning in the month immediately following the month in which such termination or transfer occurred or seniority was broken.
3.6 The Employer will furnish the Union with an alphabetical checkoff list in duplicate each month, indicating the amount due for each employee. After thirty (30) days, the Employer shall add to this list the names and addresses of any new employees whose names do not appear on the checkoff list. One copy of this list shall be returned with the stipulated amount to the offices of the Union prior to the end of the month in which the deductions are made.
3.7 The Employer agrees to deduct and transmit contributions to SEIU COPE, each pay period, from the wages of those employees who voluntarily authorize such contributions on the form provided for the purpose of complying with any by SEIU Local 517M. Those transmittals shall occur each pay period and shall be accompanied by a list of the provisions names of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under those employees for whom such provisionsdeductions have been made and the amount deducted for each employee.

The Company will bill C.A.W. Local 1451 on a monthly basis for reimbursement of all monies paid to employees authorized for such leaves. Vacation pay and any contributions paid by the Company on earnings paid to employees (i.e. C.P.P., U.I.C., etc.) will be included in the monthly ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. All ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ are payable by the C.A.W. UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority 4.01 The parties mutually agree that all eligible employees who are currently of the Board covered by this Agreement shall pay dues and become members of the Union.
4.02 The Board agrees to deduct, each pay, from the wages of all employees in the Bargaining Unit, Union dues as directed by the Union. The Board shall forward the deductions to the Union, together with an alphabetical listing of names showing the amount deducted from each employee and all information used to determine this deduction – not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the following month. The Union shall notify the Board, in writing with at least thirty- (30) days notice, of any changes in the amount to be deducted. The Board also agrees to deduct and remit an amount equivalent to the Union initiation fee from each new employee upon the successful completion of their probationary period. The President or Secretary of the Union shall notify the Board, in writing, of the amount of such monthly dues to be deducted under this section and, from time to time, any changes in the amount thereof. Payroll deductions will not include any fines. Union dues will be included on the employee’s T4 slip (for income tax purposes). In consideration of this deduction and forwarding of the union dues by the Board, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Board against any claim or liability arising out of or resulting from the collection and forwarding of regular monthly union dues or initiation fees.
4.03 Union Representatives shall be allowed to contact Union members on Board property if such contact is made with the prior knowledge of Management. Such knowledge shall be obtained by a phone call in advance or face-to-face discussion with management.
a) The Union recognizes that the designated Union Representatives are employed by the Company; no designated Union Representative shall leave his/her work to perform his/her duties under this agreement without obtaining permission of their Management Supervisor, which permission shall not unreasonably be withheld. Such time to investigate a grievance shall not be excessive or abused. Meetings between the company and the Union will be required to continue to convened during normal working hours and those in attendance will not suffer any loss of regular pay. It is understood and agreed that in situation where meeting extend beyond the regular workday, no remuneration will be members of expected. 4.04 The Board recognizes that certain employees may be required to continue attend meetings related to duties of a Union office. Time spent on such business will be pre-approved by Management, and at no expense to the Board.
4.05 For purposes of collective bargaining, Management will recognize a Union committee of not more than two (2) employees and the Union Business Representative or his delegate.
4.06 The Board and the Union agree to acquaint new employees with the fact that a collective agreement is in effect and arrange for a new member session with a Union Representative. The meeting will be convened during normal working hours and limited to one-half (1/2) hour.
4.07 The Board agrees to establish a Labour Relations Committee consisting of a minimum of one representative from management and/or the Chief Executive Officer and a maximum of three members from the union, which may include the Local Union Business Representative an a Representative from the IBEW International Office.
4.08 The Company shall provide the Union with a list of Managers who will deal with Union’s Labour Relations Committee. The Union shall provide the Company with a list of the member of the Labour Relations Committee, which may include a representative, from the International Office of the I.B.E.W. and/or the Local Union Business Representative.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority 3.01 Union dues deduction commences on the date of hire for probationary employees who are currently members as per Section 47 of the Union will be required Ontario Labour Relations Act. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before Union. It shall be a condition of employment with the last day Employer that eligible employees become members of the calendar month in which the deduction was madeUnion and maintain such membership while so employed. 5.05 3.03 The Union shall indemnify the Employer and save the Company hold it harmless against any and all suits, claims, demands, suits and demands or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company Employer for the purpose of complying with this provision.

3.06 In the event there is a merger with another Employer, Company or Companies in which the covered employees therein are represented by another Union, the representation rights and the status quo of Local 636, IBEW members shall be maintained until a final determination is made under the Labour Relations Act of Ontario as to the proper representation of the combined group.
3.07 Should the Employer merge, amalgamate or combine any of its operations or functions with another Employer, Company or Companies, the provisions of this articleEmployer agrees to give the Union notice in writing at least thirty (30) days, or in reliance on any listsunless legislated otherwise, notice or assessment furnished under such provisionsprior to implementation.
3.08 Substance abuse is a serious medical and social problem that can affect employees, their families and fellow workers. The Employer and the Union actively promote and encourage early diagnosis and treatment that assists employees towards full rehabilitation.

5.04 A list name of the total number of employees, along with all sums deducted as above shall be remitted by the Company that employee to the financial secretary of the local Union by the 15th of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. This list will contain employee names, payroll numbers, addresses and telephone numbersUnion, along with the following information: home address, home phone number, work email address, work phone number, work location, FTE, employee ID number, hire date, manager and classification. Quarterly, LCOG will send to the Union a list of all LCOG employees who are paying Union dues. That list will include the following information: name, employee ID number, manager, classification, range and step, hire date, work phone number and email address, home phone number and home address.
4.2 After a period of thirty (30) days of employment, each employee shall either join the Union or pay a fair share amount, as determined by the Union in accordance with statutory and constitutional requirements, except as specified in Section 4.4 below. Fair share deductions shall be made as described above in Section 4.1, except that, under Oregon law, no authorization is necessary.
4.3 If an individual employee has an objection to the requirements of this Article based on bona fide religious tenets of a church or religious body of which s/he is a member, s/he shall inform the Union and LCOG of his/her objection. The employee must meet with Union representatives to establish a mutually agreeable arrangement for the contribution of an amount of such deductions and the reason, if any, why no deductions were made from certain employees. This list will also indicate any employee whose employment is terminated, transferred out of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave of absence, or diedmoney equal to regular Union dues to a nonreligious charity. The Company employee shall provide written proof to LCOG that the contribution has been made. In turn, LCOG shall forward a copy of such proof to the Union.
4.4 LCOG will also provide the financial secretary not be held liable for check-off errors but will make proper adjustments with the monthly alphabetical employee listUnion for errors as soon as is practicable. UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority
3.1 The City and the Union agree to a "fair-share" agreement for all employees in the bargaining unit who have not joined the Union within thirty-one (31) days of employment. The Union agrees to hold the City harmless against claims resulting from this fair-share agreement.
3.2 Inasmuch as it is required that the Union represent every employee within the bargaining unit, making each employee a recipient of the Union's services, it is mutually agreed and recognized by the parties that each employee shall proportionately and fairly share in the cost of the collective bargaining process. The cost per employee is fixed proportionately at the amount of dues uniformly required of each member of the Union. This amount shall be deducted each pay period from each Union member and each non-Union member's compensation and remitted each pay period in the aggregate, as directed by the treasurer of the Union.
3.3 The Union treasurer will certify to the City the amount to be deducted as the pay period dues approved by the members of the Union.
3.4 A like amount in lieu of dues will be automatically deducted from all employees in the bargaining unit who have not signed an authorization form requesting Union membership dues deduction.
3.5 The City will discontinue dues deductions when an employee leaves the bargaining unit, due to either a position change or termination. An employee terminating prior to the end of a pay period will not be subject to dues or a like amount in lieu of dues deduction for that pay period.
3.6 Employees who are currently members of the Union on the date of ratification of this Agreement, or who become members subsequently, shall maintain such membership during the term of this Agreement. However, employees may terminate such membership by notice in writing to the Union President. Employees exercising this right shall be subject to fair-share payments through payroll deductions.
3.7 If an individual employee has an objection based on bona fide religious tenets or teachings of a church or religious body of which she or he is a member, she or he must inform the City and the Union of her or his objection. The employee will meet with the representatives of the Union and establish a mutually satisfactory arrangement for distribution of the contribution of an amount of money equivalent to regular Union membership dues to a non-religious charity.
3.8 The City will not be required held liable for check-off errors but will make proper adjustments with the Union for errors as soon as is practicable. In no case shall such an adjustment extend beyond the following pay period. In order for both parties to continue to be have adequate information on dues check-off, an updated list of eligible members of the Union as a condition of employment for the duration of this Agreement.

5.03 a) The Company will deduct from the pay of each employee, including new hireesemployee who is a member of the Union, the initiation fee, monthly dues and other assessments authorized by the constitution of the Union. The initiation fee shall be taken off the following pay period after the employee has completed his probationary period. The Company will also provide their probationary period and the financial secretary with the monthly alphabetical employee list. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day of the calendar month in which the deduction was madefull classification rate thereafter.

The Company agrees to include on an employee’s T4 slip for income tax purposes the total Union dues paid for the year, excluding any initiation fees.
5.04 . A list of the total number of employees, along with all sums deducted as above shall be remitted by the Company to the financial secretary of the local Union by the 15th of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. This list will contain employee employees’ names, payroll numbers, addresses and telephone numbers, along with the amount of such deductions and the reason, if any, why no deductions were made from certain employees. This list will also indicate any employee whose employment is terminated, transferred out of the bargaining unit, on layoff, leave of absence, or died. The Company will also provide the financial secretary with the monthly alphabetical employee list. The Company will reimburse any employee any dues that have been deducted in error as long as a claim has been submitted to the Company before the last day of the calendar month in which the deduction was made.
5.05 . The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that arise out of or by reason of any action taken or not taken by the Company for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this article, or in reliance on any lists, notice or assessment furnished under such provisions.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority employees who are currently members of the Union will (A) It shall be required to continue to be members of the Union as a condition of employment for the duration of that employees covered by this Agreement shall no later than thirty-one (31) days after their initial pay period as an employee covered by this Agreement.
5.02 Present probationary employees , become and newly hired employees upon completion of their probationary period, shall become remain members in good standing of the Union, or in lieu of membership, to pay an agency fee. The amount of such agency fee shall be determined by the Union in accordance with applicable law.
(B) Payment of Union dues or agency fees, voluntary contribution to the SEIU Local 1021 Committee on Political Education (COPE), or contributions to a charitable organization selected from a list approved by the University and will the Union, may be required to continue to be made by all bargaining unit faculty members via the check-off procedure provided by this Article. It is agreed that the University shall assume no financial or other obligation arising out of the provisions of this Article, and the Union as hereby agrees that it shall indemnify and hold the University harmless from any claims, actions, or proceedings by a condition of employment for bargaining unit faculty member arising from the duration University’s actions in accordance with this Article.

5.03 The Company will , deduct from a bargaining unit staff member’s compensation a sum of dues or fees owed to the Union for the pay of each employeeperiod covered by that paycheck and authorized under federal labor law, including new hirees, provided the monthly dues and other assessments authorized Union has furnished the University a written authorization executed by the constitution of employee in accordance with the Unionlaw. 5.02 Present probationary employment. All Full Time Recognized Bargaining Unit employees who have not done so and newly hired all new Bargaining Unit employees upon successful completion of their probationary period, shall become members of the Union, and term will be required to continue complete and sign an Application for Membership and Authorization for Check- off of Dues and Initiation Fee on UNIFOR Form A-230-86 supplied by the Union to the Company. The Local Union copy of this form will be members forwarded to the Local Union Financial Secretary upon completion.
4.02 All dues and initiation fees payable to the Union in accordance with this Article will be deducted weekly and forwarded to the Local Union Financial Secretary by the fifteenth (15th) day of the Union as a condition of employment for following month. Member check-off will be in accordance with the duration of this Agreement.

UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF. 5.01 All present seniority employees shall become or remain, as the case may be, members Union; and all persons who are currently may hereafter become employees covered by this Agreement, shall become members after calendar days of employment and shall maintain such membership, all as a condition of continuing employment. 5.05 The Union shall indemnify indemnity and save the Company Corporation harmless from and against all claims and demands brought or made against the Corporation by an employee as a result of the deductions and remittance by the Corporation to the Union of dues and assessments pursuant to this Article; provided that this section does not apply to a request by the Union for correction and adjustment of any error in the deduction or remittance of Union dues or assessments.
