Union Security Dues Deductions. 7.01 The Employer will deduct from each employee in the bargaining unit, from the first day of employment, an amount equal to the regular monthly union dues designated by the Union. The amount of regular monthly dues shall be as certified by the Union from time to time. The amounts so deducted shall be remitted by the Employer to the Union’s Director of Finance, ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇, no later than the 15th of the month following the month in which such deductions were made. In consideration of the deducting and forwarding of union dues by the Employer, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Employer against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this Article. 7.02 All employees in the bargaining unit will be required to pay the dues deductions however; no employee shall be required as a condition of employment, to become a member or continue to remain a member of the Union. 7.03 The Employer agrees to include the annual total of dues deducted on the T4 slips of each employee affected by this Article.
