Common use of Unsafe Working Conditions Clause in Contracts

Unsafe Working Conditions. An employee who is given an assignment that he or she reasonably believes will be detrimental to his or her health will immediately notify his or her supervisor. The employee will not be required to perform the alleged unsafe assignment, and will not receive discipline for refusing to do so, until the matter has been reviewed with the employee’s supervisor. If such a review does not resolve the matter, it will be referred to the University’s Environmental Health and Safety staff. At the employee’s request, a Union shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will participate in any review conducted pursuant to this section.
