Unused Sick Clause Samples

The "Unused Sick" clause defines how unused sick leave is handled at the end of an employment period or at specific intervals. Typically, this clause outlines whether employees are entitled to compensation for unused sick days, if such days can be carried over to the next year, or if they are forfeited. For example, some policies may allow a limited number of unused sick days to roll over, while others may not provide any payout or carryover. The core function of this clause is to clarify the employer's obligations regarding unused sick leave, thereby preventing misunderstandings and disputes about employee entitlements.
