Use of Local Goods Clause Samples

The 'Use of Local Goods' clause requires that goods, materials, or products used in the performance of a contract are sourced from local suppliers or manufacturers. In practice, this means that contractors or vendors must prioritize purchasing items produced within a specified geographic area, such as a country, region, or municipality, unless exceptions are granted. This clause is designed to support the local economy, promote job creation, and ensure that the benefits of a project are retained within the community where the work is performed.
