Use of Sick Leave Days. (a) An employee may use accrued sick leave days for absences due to illness, injury or pregnancy or to care for ill or injured immediate family members in any month of the year that he/she is scheduled on the payroll. (b) Sick leave can be used in units of one-half (1/2) hour or more.

When performance of one-half (1/2) hour assigned duties would jeopardize the employee’s health or morerecovery.
