Use of Warnings and Progressive Disciplinary Penalties. A . Except for serious misconduct, no employee shall be discharged for excessive absenteeism, unsatisfactory job performance or other chronic failing unless at a minimum the Employer has complied with all of the following procedures: 1 . Formal counseling and, if necessary, oral reprimand . 2 . Written warning describing with particularity the nature and extent of the employee’s misconduct or other work deficiency . 3 . Disciplinary suspension . B . Written documentation of all such counseling or other disciplinary action taken must be prepared contemporaneously by the employee’s immediate supervisor . The employee involved and the Union President must receive copies of all such documents no later than five (5) working days after the disciplinary action was imposed . C . Disciplinary entries shall be removed and considered null and void twelve
