Vacations are not cumulative from year to year Sample Clauses

This clause establishes that unused vacation days do not carry over from one year to the next. In practice, employees must use their allotted vacation time within the designated year, or they forfeit any remaining days at the end of that period. The core function of this clause is to encourage employees to take regular time off and to simplify administrative tracking of vacation balances, preventing the buildup of large unused leave liabilities.
Vacations are not cumulative from year to year. Notwithstanding the above, the Employer may grant a special request from an employee to carryover a maximum of five (5) vacation days into the next year. The employee shall specify in their request to the Employer the purpose of which they are seeking the carryover.
Vacations are not cumulative from year to year. The Employer will consider written requests submitted by April 1 of any given year to carry over up to one (1) week of annual vacation entitlement from one vacation year to the next.
