Validation of tread depths. At the end of the preparation process, measure the depths in the measurement locations defined in 2. 2.1.2.1. For all the measurement points defined in the central zone: The individual final tread depths have to be 2 mm ± 0.4 mm The average tread depth has to be 2 mm ± 0.2 mm For all the measurement points defined in the shoulder zone: The final tread depth in the shoulder zone shall not be higher than 2 mm. If one of the above conditions is not met, another candidate tyre shall be prepared.
