Provide specialist employee relations advice and support, including the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements and other Agreements as required. Provide specialist industrial relations advice and support on complex matters. Interpret, advise on, and ensure compliance with relevant industrial instruments and legal frameworks. Deliver business partner service to designated departments to drive capability and deliver business objectives, supporting all stakeholders with generalist HR requirements. Provide quality and timely case management and conduct investigations to address queries, complaints and issues that arise on an operational basis within designated departments. Establish effective relationships with Divisional Managers and supervisors to understand and assist to resolve particular issues or opportunities within designated departments. Consult with other People and Performance Business Partners as required, ensuring a quality and consistent service delivery across the organisation. Provide back-up support in the absence of other People and Performance Business Partners. Identify and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery as identified by stakeholder feedback and organisational needs. Actively participate and contribute to the training of all stakeholders in the organisation’s Performance Management tools, and engage and support designated departments with their talent and performance management objectives. Coordinate the Local Government (LGE) Employment Agreement negotiations. WHS RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures within the City of Salisbury including all safe operating procedures or instructions. Take all reasonable steps to ensure personal safety and that of others is not put at risk through any act or omission in relation the above. Report any identified hazards, incidents including near misses or injuries which arise in the course of work, using the systems and/or documentation available for such reporting. Fulfil individual requirements to meet any documented WHS objectives arising from biannual performance and development reviews. Not endanger personal safety or that of others by undertaking work whilst under the influence of alcohol or a drug in breach of Council’s Drug and Alcohol Policy. Undertake WHS training where required, in order to perform duties (refer to WHS Competency Assessment).

Obtain and distribute mail and internal correspondence. Provide routine information including general reception and telephone duties. Apply established practices and procedures of an administrative nature. To perform a range of administrative functions associated with the administration of relevant Acts and Regulations. Develop a sound knowledge of the People operations and Performance overarching People Strategy across responsibilities of the organisationDepartment to ensure assistance and information given is accurate.
