Variations and Weight Clause Samples

The "Variations and Weight" clause defines how changes to the scope of work, particularly those affecting the weight of materials or components, are managed within a contract. It typically outlines the procedures for requesting, approving, and pricing variations that result in an increase or decrease in weight, such as adjustments to steel structures or equipment. This clause ensures that both parties have a clear process for handling modifications that impact material quantities, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring fair compensation or cost savings when project requirements change.
