Make visits to the Site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction, as Engineer deems necessary, to observe as an experienced and qualified design professional the progress and quality of Contractor’s executed Work. Such visits and observations by Engineer, and the Resident Project Representative, if any, are not intended to be exhaustive or to extend to every aspect of Contractor’s Work in progress or to involve detailed inspections of Contractor’s Work in progress beyond the responsibilities specifically assigned to Engineer in this Agreement and the Contract Documents, but rather are to be limited to spot checking, selective sampling, and similar methods of general observation of the Work based on Engineer’s exercise of professional judgment as assisted by the Resident Project Representative, if any. Based on information obtained during such visits and observations, Engineer will determine in general if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, and Engineer shall keep Owner informed of the progress of the Work. b. Such visits and observations by Engineer, and the Resident Project Representative, if any, are not intended to be exhaustive or to extend to every aspect of Contractor’s the Work in progress or to involve detailed inspections of Contractor’s the Work in progress beyond the responsibilities specifically assigned to Engineer in this Agreement and the Construction Contract Documents, but rather are to be limited to spot checking, selective sampling, and similar methods of general observation of the Work based on Engineer’s exercise of professional judgment judgment, as assisted by the Resident Project Representative, if any. Based on information obtained during such visits and observations, Engineer will determine in general if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the Construction Contract Documents, and Engineer shall keep Owner informed of the progress of the Work.

a. Make 2.4.2.1 ENGINEER shall make visits to the Site site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction, construction as Engineer ENGINEER deems necessary, necessary in order to observe as an experienced and qualified design professional the progress and quality of the various aspects of Contractor’s executed Workwork. The furnishing of such Resident Project Representative services will not extend ENGINEER’s responsibilities or authority beyond the specific limits set forth elsewhere in this paragraph 2.4. Such visits and observations by Engineer, and the Resident Project Representative, if any, ENGINEER are not intended to be exhaustive or to extend to every aspect of Contractor’s Work the work in progress progress, or to involve detailed inspections of Contractor’s Work in progress the work beyond the responsibilities specifically assigned to Engineer ENGINEER in this Agreement and the Contract Documents, but rather are to be limited to spot checking, selective sampling, sampling and similar methods of general observation of the Work work based on EngineerENGINEER’s exercise of professional judgment as assisted by the Resident Project Representative, if any. The purpose of Engineer’s visits to, and representation by the Resident Project Representative, if any, at the Site, will be to enable Engineer to better carry out the duties and responsibilities assigned to and undertaken by Engineer during the Construction Phase, and, in addition, by the exercise of Engineer’s efforts as an experienced and qualified design professional, to provide for Owner a greater degree of confidence that the completed Work will conform in general to the Contract Documents and that Contractor has implemented and maintained the integrity of the design concept of the completed Project as a functioning whole as indicated in the Contract DocumentsDocuments has been implemented and preserved by Contractor. During construction, CONSULTANT shall make up to three visits to the project site to observe construction activities. Following construction, CONSULTANT shall complete a substantial completion site visit and issue a certification of substantial completion, if appropriate.

The purpose of Engineer’s visits to, and representation by the Resident Project Representative, if any, at the Site, will be to enable Engineer to better carry out the duties and responsibilities assigned to and undertaken by Engineer during the Construction Phase, and, in addition, by the exercise of Engineer’s efforts as an experienced and qualified design professional, to provide for Owner County with a greater degree of confidence that the completed Work work will conform in general to the Contract Documents and that Contractor contractor has implemented and maintained the integrity of the design concept of the completed Project as a functioning whole as indicated in the Contract Documents. Engineer’s visits shall be of sufficient quantity, duration, and thoroughness so that the Engineer shall not, during such visits or as a result of such observations of Contractor’s Work in progress, supervise, direct, or have control may provide the needed certifications to the governmental authorities having jurisdiction over Contractor’s Work, nor shall Engineer have authority over or responsibility for the means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction selected or used by Contractor, for security or safety on the Site, for safety precautions and programs incident to Contractor’s Work, nor for any failure of Contractor to comply with Laws and Regulations applicable to Contractor’s furnishing and performing the WorkProject. Accordingly, Engineer neither guarantees the performance of any Contractor contractor nor assumes responsibility for any Contractorcontractor’s failure to furnish and or perform the Work work in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Visits to Site and Observation of Construction. In connection with observations of Contractor’s Work while it is in progress:
a. Make visits to the Site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction, as Engineer deems necessary, to observe as an experienced and qualified design professional the progress and quality of Contractor’s executed Work. Such visits and observations by Engineer, and the Resident Project Representative, if any, are not intended to be exhaustive or to extend to every aspect of Contractor’s the Work in progress or to involve detailed inspections of Contractor’s the Work in progress beyond the responsibilities specifically assigned to Engineer in this Agreement and the Construction Contract Documents, but rather are to be limited to spot checking, selective sampling, and similar methods of general observation of the Work based on Engineer’s exercise of professional judgment judgment, as assisted by the Resident Project Representative, if any. Based on information obtained during such visits and observations, Engineer will determine in general if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the Construction Contract Documents, and Engineer shall keep Owner informed of the progress of the Work.
b. The purpose of Engineer’s visits toto the Site, and representation by the Resident Project Representative, if any, at the Site, will be to enable Engineer to better carry out the duties and responsibilities assigned to and undertaken by Engineer during the Construction Phase, and, in addition, by the exercise of Engineer’s efforts as an experienced and qualified design professional, to provide for Owner a greater degree of confidence that the completed Work will conform in general to the Construction Contract Documents and that Contractor has implemented and maintained the integrity of the design concept of the completed Project as a functioning whole as indicated in the Construction Contract Documents. Engineer shall not, during such visits or as a result of such observations of Contractor’s Work in progressthe Work, supervise, direct, or have control over Contractor’s the Work, nor shall Engineer have authority over or responsibility for the means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction selected or used by Contractorany Constructor, for security or safety on at the Site, for safety precautions and programs incident to Contractorany Constructor’s Workwork in progress, for the coordination of the Constructors’ work or schedules, nor for any failure of Contractor any Constructor to comply with Laws and Regulations applicable to Contractor’s furnishing and performing the Workof its work. Accordingly, Engineer neither guarantees the performance of any Contractor Constructor nor assumes responsibility for any ContractorConstructor’s failure to furnish and or perform the Work Work, or any portion of the Work, in accordance with the Construction Contract Documents.
c. The visits described in Article A1.05.A.9.a shall be at least monthly and the Engineer shall document all visits to the project with copies furnished to the Owner and Agency.
