Voluntary Termination or Reduction of Commitments Prepayments Clause Samples

The 'Voluntary Termination or Reduction of Commitments; Prepayments' clause allows a borrower to proactively decrease or end their borrowing commitments or to repay outstanding loan amounts ahead of schedule. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures the borrower must follow, such as providing advance notice to the lender and specifying the minimum amounts for reductions or prepayments. Its core function is to give borrowers flexibility in managing their debt obligations, enabling them to reduce interest costs or adjust to changing financial needs without penalty, while also providing clarity and predictability for both parties.
