Voting Leave. 1. Unit employees shall be permitted leave to vote as required by California Elections Code, as amended, if the unit employee cannot otherwise get to the polling place during non-working hours. 2. Leave may be provided at the beginning or end of the normal work shift, whichever permits the opportunity to vote with minimal interruption of work responsibilities. 3. Unit employees shall be required to give a minimum three (3) day notice of the need for leave, obtain advance approval, and submit proof of voting.
