Common use of WAGES & CLASSIFICATIONS Clause in Contracts

WAGES & CLASSIFICATIONS. ‌ The following wage rates shall be the minimum starting and top rates for each classification: 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Start Top Start Top Start Top Start Top Start Top Operator 15.50 22.31 16.11 23.18 16.75 24.11 17.42 25.07 18.12 26.07 Clerical 13.90 19.70 14.44 20.47 15.02 21.29 15.62 22.14 16.25 23.03 Mechanic 17.14 24.33 17.81 25.28 18.52 26.29 19.26 27.34 20.03 28.43 Part-Time 7.15 7.43 7.73 8.04 8.36 In addition to the general wage increases outlined above, employees shall progress to the top rate in accordance with the following formula: 1. After 90 days of employment - 50 cents per hour increase. 2. Upon completion of one full year - The employee's rate will be increased by one-third (1/3) the difference between his then current rate and the then current top rate for that classification. 3. Upon completion of two full years - The employee's rate will be increased by two-thirds (2/3) the difference between the employee's then current rate and the then current top rate for that classification. 4. Upon completion of three full years - The employee will advance to the top rate for that classification. The Authority reserves the right, in its discretion, to hire and/or advance employees above and beyond the minimum requirements set forth above.
