Waiver and Release Clause Samples

A Waiver and Release clause serves to relinquish certain rights or claims that one party may have against another, typically in connection with a contract or specific event. In practice, this clause may prevent a party from pursuing legal action or making demands related to known or potential issues that have been expressly waived or released, such as claims for damages or breaches that occurred prior to the agreement. Its core function is to provide finality and certainty by ensuring that disputes or liabilities covered by the waiver cannot be revisited, thereby reducing the risk of future litigation.
