Common use of Walkthrough/Informal Observation Clause in Contracts

Walkthrough/Informal Observation. i. A walkthrough/informal observation (“walkthrough”) is a formative written assessment by a Credentialed Evaluator. ii. The walkthrough may be unannounced, but nothing prohibits informing the teacher of a walkthrough. iii. A walkthrough shall be at least twelve (12) consecutive minutes and no more than fifteen (15) minutes in duration. There shall be no more than two (2) walkthroughs per Evaluation Cycle, unless the teacher is on an Improvement Plan. iv. Within two (2) work days of completing the walkthrough, the Credentialed Evaluator shall complete the ODE OTES walkthrough form. v. Nothing in this section limits the District’s ability to conduct the shorter duration McREL walkthroughs for the Ohio Improvement Process (typically 3-5 minutes). Any McREL walkthrough for the Ohio Improvement Process will not constitute a walkthrough for purposes of OTES.
