Common use of Weekly rest Clause in Contracts

Weekly rest. 1. If the number of actual daily working hours is three or less, the employer is not liable to arrange specific weekly rest. 2. Weekly rest is based on the Working Hours Act. Ac- cording to current legislation, employees must be giv- en at least 35 hours of uninterrupted weekly rest each week, preferably around a Sunday, but if this is not pos- sible, at some other time during the week. The weekly free time can be arranged so that it averages 35 hours within a 14-day period. Weekly free time must, however, amount to at least 24 hours.
