Wheels. Riding with an improperly secured wheel can allow the wheel to wobble or fall off the vehicle, which can cause serious injury or death. It is very important that an operator know how to secure the wheels correctly, and how to apply the correct clamping force that safely secures the wheel. Ask an expert mechanic to advise you on correct wheel removal and installation in accordance with the wheel manufacturer’s specifications.
Wheels. Check for the non-uniform wear, correct the Wheel axle for proper alignment.
Wheels. The following are acceptable conditions for aluminum/alloy wheels, stamped and steel wheels with appropriate charges:
a) Non-chargeable conditions
i) The face of the wheel may have light scratches or scuffs to the surface not penetrating through to the base material.
ii) Light scratches or scuffs within one inch of the outside edge of the wheel are acceptable provided they do not, in total, exceed one-third of the circumference of the wheel and can be removed with light sanding.
b) Chargeable conditions
Wheels. Wheels for 65 gallon carts shall be a minimum of 10” diameter. Wheels for 95 gallon carts shall be a minimum of 12” diameter and 1.75” wide with rubber treads. All wheels must be capable of supporting a minimum of 200 pounds per wheel.
Wheels. All vehicles must have a minimum of four wheels. They must also carry a spare wheel of the same specification as the road wheels, a space-saver wheel or any approved manufacturer’s device.

Wheels. You shall be reimbursed for the Reasonable Costs to Repair or replace Alloy Wheels rendered Unserviceable
Wheels i. Wheels may contain baked-on brake dust that we cannot altogether remove.
ii. We will try to remove brake dust, but some wheels are beyond cleaning.
Wheels. ACF shall rope off and/or paint lines on the plant floor to designate, and install prominent signs at (each in a manner reasonably satisfactory to ARI), each of the Designated Component Storage Areas where wheels are to be stored in accordance with this Agreement. Such signs shall contain the following language: “All items located in this marked area have been purchased by and are owned by American Railcar Industries, Inc. Do not place items owned by ACF or any other party in this marked area or remove items from this marked area without written approval from ARI.”
