Common use of Whereas Clause Clause in Contracts

Whereas Clause. 1. If one of the sponsors is a non-profit entity, the Whereas clause following the reference to this note should be included in your agreement. If the Whereas clause is included in the agreement, fill in the date of the letter and the name of the affected local government that has consented to the non-profit entity serving as one of the sponsors. The civilian format for any dates included in the agreement should be used. (Example: January 22, 2014) 2. If the sponsor is not a non-profit entity, delete the Whereas clause following the reference to this note. Deletion of this Whereas clause is not considered a deviation from the model.
