Wind Clause Samples

The 'Wind' clause defines how the parties will address issues arising from wind conditions that may impact the performance or safety of contractual obligations, particularly in construction or outdoor event agreements. Typically, this clause sets thresholds for wind speed or conditions that trigger specific actions, such as work stoppages, rescheduling, or additional safety measures. By clearly outlining responsibilities and procedures in the event of high winds, the clause helps allocate risk and ensures that both parties understand how to proceed safely and fairly when adverse wind conditions occur.
Wind. A minimum of 115 MPH as defined in "Basic Wind Speed Specifications", ASCE 7-88.
Wind. Testing shall be performed at wind speeds averaging less than 3 m/s with peak speeds less than 5 m/s. In addition, the vector component of the wind speed across the test track must be less than 2 m/s. Wind velocity shall be measured at 0.7 m above the track surface.
Wind. In the event of high wind conditions, the City reserves the right to take any banner or decoration down to avoid cable damage.
Wind. The average wind speed measured at a height of 1 m above the ground shall be less than 3 m/s; gusts shall be less than 5 m/s.
Wind. Submit the average monthly and yearly wind direction and velocity recorded at the nearest official weather station or as measured on site. Wind rose diagrams and frequency distribution charts are appropriate.
Wind. Allowances for these and other non-standard conditions are to be made by means of corrections as described in Annex B. This page intentionally left blank
Wind. 7 miles per hour (mph) maximum or as specified by the herbicide label. DNR reserves the right to determine if weather conditions are suitable for spraying operations at any point during application. The Compliance Forester will make the on-site determination and immediately notify Contractor and/or pilot of unsuitable conditions; Contractor shall cease spraying at that point in time.
Wind. Lusaka District experiences prevailing eastern winds during the dry season with fresh winds in the months of July and August. During the months of December to April, light variable winds predominant- ly of northern and north-eastern directions prevail. Mean wind speed ranges from 1.1 m/s (4.0) to 2.5 m/s (9.0 km/h).
Wind. The Monte Carlo procedure used to generate a pseudo-time function for unsteady wind acting over Tongass Narrows is described in the following subsections. The unsteady wind process is divided into two steps, the first to determine the mean wind speed and direction and the second to determine the magnitude and direction of gust perturbations.
Wind. The average hourly wind speed in Kriel experiences significant seasonal variation over the course of the year. The windier part of the year lasts for 4.0 months, from July 27 to November 26. The windiest month of the year in Kriel is September The calmer time of year lasts for 8.0 months, from November 26 to July 27.
