Work in Higher Classification. Any employee who is assigned to perform work in a higher classification for any part of a day shall receive the higher rate of pay for the day. However, the provisions of this Article do not apply unless the employee is assigned to work in the higher classification for two (2) hours or more.

Work in Higher Classification. Any employee who If any part of the workday is assigned to perform work worked in a higher classification than the classification under which the employee is called for any part of a day shall receive work, the higher rate of pay shall prevail for the dayentire workday. The employee reverts to his regular classification the next day unless notified to the contrary. However, the provisions of this Article do not apply unless the employee is assigned to work in the higher classification for two (2) hours or more.
