Common use of WORK RULES AND POLICIES Clause in Contracts

WORK RULES AND POLICIES. ‌ The College agrees that any new work rules/policies, which the College may promulgate that affect the employees, shall be reasonable and shall be reduced to writing and a copy posted on a designated bulletin board found in a conspicuous place (i.e., the break room) for each employee to review in advance of the rule’s enforcement. Prior to the issuance of any new work rules or policies the College shall give the Union thirty (30) days to review and provide input. After the Union has had the opportunity to provide input and feedback, the College may promulgate the new work rules and policies. Any complaint about such new work rules or policies shall be confined solely to the issue of whether or not the new rules/policies have been evenly applied to all employees in similar circumstances unless the Union has objected to the new work rules/policies as being a direct violation of the contract. Any formal apprenticeship program must be bargained.
