Common use of Working Out of Rank Clause in Contracts

Working Out of Rank. Police Officers required to work above the rank for which they are normally assigned for four (4) hours or more any duty day, will be compensated at the rate of one (1) hour of overtime pay in addition to the actual hours worked. Police Officers required to work above the rank for which they are normally assigned for eight (8) hours or more any duty day, will be compensated at the rate of two (2) hour of overtime pay in addition to the actual hours worked. This section will apply to any temporary promotional appointment of less than thirty (30) days.
