Common use of Working Out of Rank Clause in Contracts

Working Out of Rank. Section 19.1. Working Out of Rank. A member who is required to accept responsibilities and carry out the duties of a higher rank for a period of at least one (1) hour shall be paid at the rate of pay of the higher rank for each hour so worked. Such payment will be for hours actually worked performing the duties of the higher ranked position and specifically does not include payment for leave time at the rate of pay for the higher ranked position.
