Common use of Workshops/Conferences Clause in Contracts

Workshops/Conferences. 1. Requests to attend conferences and workshops are to be directed in writing to the employee’s supervisor who may need to request approval from the Superintendent. A copy of related brochures will accompany the request. Any decision made by the supervisor and Superintendent as to the approval/disapproval or payment of related costs is not grievable. a. Cancellation costs for any reason shall be incurred by the employee for the exception of illness or approved leave.
