This IGA is similar to the Memorandum of Understanding approved by Council in January with the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office. In both cases, the other party has received the “Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant Assistance Grant” – and that grant has a requirement that 3% of its total value be spent on efforts to adopt the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) standard.
