BCC MEETING DATEGrant Agreement • February 11th, 2025
In 2023, the Board of County Commissioners authorized staff to submit grant applications under the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant Program. In 2024, USDOT awarded the County $320,000.00 in grant funding with a required $80,000 County match. The grant will fund a county-wide safety analysis to support the preparation of a comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The project limits will include all roadways within St. Johns County and include an evaluation of historic crash trends, solicitation of public feedback, and identification of strategies to reduce fatalities and serious injuries. The matching funds of $80,000 and the grant funding of $320,000 are already appropriated within the Fiscal Year 2025 Public Works Department Budget.
