New Rio Tinto Contract in North AmericaSupply Agreement • November 17th, 2004
Orica Limited has reached mutually satisfactory commercial terms with Rio Tinto for the on-going supply of explosives and accessories to the Rio Tinto North American operations. The agreement is for supply for a further 3 years, commencing 17th November, 2004. The detail of the commercial terms remain confidential to the parties. Orica looks forward to further building on the relationship with the Rio Tinto North American business, established over the previous five years, particularly in the area of value creation. The Orica Joint Venture with Nelson Brothers LLC, has similarly successfully concluded discussions for supply to the Rio Tinto properties within the territory of the Joint Venture.
