REIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT BETWEENReimbursable Space Act Agreement • October 11th, 2024
Contract Type FiledOctober 11th, 2024This Agreement shall be for the purpose of performing fifty (50) high-vacuum/temperature uniaxial tension tests, twenty (20) 100-hour (or less) duration high-vacuum/temperature creep tests, and twenty (20) 8-hour (or less) duration thermogravimetric analysis oxidation tests on niobium (Nb)-based alloys specimens supplied by Partner to develop a dispersion strengthened Nb-based alloy. NASA GRC hosts the Vacuum Creep Laboratory, which performs elevated temperature mechanical testing of metallic materials in high vacuum or inert environments. This facility is highly unique in North America due to the capabilities of the mechanical testing equipment, as well as for the subject-matter expertise of the facility operators. This activity is consistent with NASA's missions because niobium-class alloys are crucial to several hypersonic and space launch applications. Furthermore, high-temperature alloy development and testing in conjunction with industry will synergize and accelerate NASA researc
