Contract Type FiledSeptember 22nd, 2022THIS AGREEMENT-IN-PRINCIPLE (“Agreement”) is entered into between the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (“Tribes”) of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation (“Reservation”), under the authority of Article VI of the Tribal Constitution, and the United States Department of Energy (“DOE”), under the authority of 42 U.S.C. §7101 et. seq. The Tribes and DOE (collectively, the “Parties”) agree that it is mutually beneficial to continue and improve upon the government-to- government relationship that is founded upon the Fort Bridger Treaty of July 3, 1868, 15 Stat. 673 (“Treaty”), and which has evolved under a Working Agreement formalized between the Parties on September 29, 1992, and a series of Agreements-in-Principle (“AIPs”) dated August 6, 1998;
