The purpose of this item is for the Carrboro Board of Aldermen to review, approve and authorize the Town Manager to sign the first responder agreement between the Town of Carrboro and the New Hope Fire Department for the provision of fire protection services within Northeast Annexation Areas “A” and “B”.

The Cariboo Regional District currently has a First Responder Agreement (Consent and Indemnity) with the Province of British Columbia, dated March 2010, under which several Cariboo Regional District Volunteer Fire Departments are registered to provide First Responder services.
