Assault and Battery definition

Assault and Battery means the combination of an “Assault” and a “Battery”.
Assault and Battery means directly or indirectly touching another with intent to harm that person or to cause offense, or by offering violence causing another to harm himself. In order to show an assault and battery, there is no requirement that the touching result in pain, bruises, or breaking of the skin;
Assault and Battery means unlawful touching or physical contact or the threat thereof, including negligent failure to suppress or prevent such acts.

Examples of Assault and Battery in a sentence

  • An employee returning from Assault and Battery Leave, or Industrial Accident Leave, or Organizational Leave shall be returned in accordance with the provisions of those leaves.
