Assignment of Overtime. All overtime must be assigned and/or pre-approved by the classified employee’s supervisor. The classified employee’s supervisor may delegate the approval of overtime to another College supervisor or manager with budget authority for a specific project. In the event that sufficient classified employees do not accept overtime on a voluntary basis or in the event of any emergency, such additional classified employees as are deemed necessary by the College may be required to work overtime. Assignment of Overtime. Overtime shall be divided as equally as possible among the employees in any particular work group who are qualified to perform the available work. A current list of overtime hours, worked or declined by each employee during the calendar year, will be posted on a Department of Public Works bulletin board within the work area for review by employees. Previous overtime reports will be maintained in a folder within the office of the Highway Superintendent for review by employees upon request. Overtime lists will not be removed, defaced or marked. The employer reserves the right to stop posting the overtime list, if the list is otherwise removed, defaced or marked.
