A mandatory distribution at the Participant's Required Beginning Date will be in lump sum (or, if applicable, the normal annuity form of distribution required under Section 6.04) unless the Participant, pursuant to the provisions of this Article VI, makes a valid election to receive an alternative form of payment.
If the Participant's death occurs after his Required Beginning Date or, if earlier, the date the Participant commences an irrevocable annuity pursuant to Section 6.04, the method of payment to the Beneficiary must provide for completion of payment over a period which does not exceed the payment period which had commenced for the Participant.
The Parties’ respective performances under this Contract shall commence on the Contract Performance Beginning Date shown on the Signature and Cover Page for this Contract and shall terminate on the Initial Contract Expiration Date shown on the Signature and Cover Page for this Contract (the “Initial Term”) unless sooner terminated or further extended in accordance with the terms of this Contract.

The Participant’s entire interest will be distributed, or begin to be distributed, to the Participant no later than the Participant’s Required Beginning Date.
