COBRA Subsidy definition

COBRA Subsidy means an amount equal to the Participant’s monthly post-employment premium for health and welfare benefits under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”) less the amount paid from time to time by active employees for similar coverage. To be eligible for the COBRA Subsidy, the Participant must be enrolled in the Participating Employer’s health and welfare plans on the date of Separation from Service.
COBRA Subsidy means, subject to the Eligible Executive being eligible to elect COBRA Continuation coverage, the Company’s payment, in lump sum, of the amount equal to the cost of such Eligible Executive’s COBRA Continuation premiums that the Company and Eligible Executive would pay if he or she elects COBRA Continuation for the number of months specified in Schedule A, as attached to these Guidelines.

Examples of COBRA Subsidy in a sentence

  • The Executive shall be responsible for paying a share of such COBRA premiums during the COBRA Subsidy Period at active employee rates as in effect from time to time, and shall be responsible for the full unsubsidized costs of such COBRA coverage thereafter.

  • The Company shall provide the COBRA Subsidy until the earliest of: (i) the twenty-four (24) month anniversary of the Termination Date, or (ii) the date Executive is no longer eligible to receive COBRA continuation coverage.

  • Failure to enroll in COBRA will forfeit Executive's right to the COBRA Subsidy.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, Executive understands that the Company’s COBRA Subsidy during the COBRA Subsidy Period will not extend Executive’s or Executive’s dependents’ eligibility for continuation health coverage under COBRA and agrees to hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims arising directly or indirectly from the COBRA Subsidy referenced above.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision herein to the contrary, any reimbursement of the COBRA Subsidy shall be paid to the Employee no later than December 31 of the year following the year in which the COBRA expense was incurred.

  • The Company shall provide the COBRA Subsidy until the earliest of: (i) the twelve (12) month anniversary of the Termination Date, or (ii) the date Executive is no longer eligible to receive COBRA continuation coverage.

  • If the Employee has, instead, elected health and dental coverage under a state exchange, then the Employee shall pay the cost of premiums for such coverage directly, subject to reimbursement by the Employer for an amount equal to the COBRA Subsidy, and the Employer shall pay any such reimbursement, in full, no later than thirty (30) days after the eighteen (18) month anniversary of the Employee’s Termination Date.

  • Executive shall be responsible for paying a share of such COBRA premiums during the COBRA Subsidy Period at active employee rates as in effect from time to time, and shall be responsible for the full unsubsidized costs of such COBRA coverage thereafter.

  • Such COBRA Subsidy reimbursement shall be paid to Executive on the last day of each month immediately following the month in which Executive timely remits the premium payment.

  • The Company shall pay the COBRA Subsidy until the earliest of (a) the date Executive qualifies under another employer-sponsored medical plan, or (b) the end of eighteen (18) months of COBRA continuation coverage, or (c) the date on which the Severance Period ends.

To be eligible for the COBRA Subsidy, the Participant must be enrolled in the Participating Employer’s health and welfare plans on the Termination Date.
COBRA Subsidy shall have the meaning given to such term in Section 6.13(b).

COBRA Subsidy means the Company’s reimbursement to you for the monthly COBRA premium paid by you for you and your dependents, if you timely and properly elect health continuation coverage under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 ("COBRA”). Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Company's making such COBRA subsidy payments under this Section 1 would violate the nondiscrimination rules applicable to non-grandfathered plans under the Affordable Care Act (the "ACA"), or result in the imposition of penalties under the ACA and the related regulations and guidance promulgated thereunder), the parties agree to reform this Section 1 in a manner as is necessary to comply with the ACA.
COBRA Subsidy means the benefits described in Section 4.3 (COBRA Subsidy).

Related to COBRA Subsidy

  • COBRA Continuation Coverage means the health care benefit continuation coverage mandated by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act and similar provisions of state law.

  • COBRA Coverage means continuation coverage required under Section 4980B of the Code and Part 6 of Title I of ERISA.

  • COBRA means the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, as amended.
