CONTINUOUS TESTING definition

CONTINUOUS TESTING. An examination process in which applications are accepted on a continuous basis, not subject to a closing date with a viable list maintained at all times. DEMOTION: The movement of an employee from one class to another class having a lower maximum rate of pay.
CONTINUOUS TESTING means a written examination, performance exam and/or a standardized physical fitness/agility test. Tests will be conducted pursuant to set and commonly applied standards. Results shall be valid for a period of one calendar year from the date of certification to a Continuous Testing Initial Eligibility list. Continuous testing may, at the discretion of the Chief Examiner. be offered through the Chief Examiner or pursuant to a subscription testing agreement
CONTINUOUS TESTING means a competitive process including but not limited to a written examination, standardized physical agility/ability test, and oral interview and conducted on a periodic or ongoing basis. The examinations shall be conducted pursuant to established and commonly applied standards whose results shall be certified to a Continuous Testing Eligibility List. Continuous testing may, at the discretion of the Commission, be offered through the Chief Examiner or pursuant to a subscription testing agreement. Continuous testing will be used only for Police and Fire entry level and Police lateral entry recruitments.

  • Continuous enrollment means enrollment in a state- supported postsecondary education institution at the same degree level for consecutive terms, excluding summer term, since the beginning of the period for which continuous enrollment is claimed unless a sequence of continuous enrollment is broken due to extenuating circumstances beyond the student’s control, including serious personal illness or injury, or illness or death of a parent.
