Daily Allowance definition

Daily Allowance means the benefit amount payable to the Insured/Insured Person for each continuous and completed period of 24 hours as inpatient care in the hospital upto the limits as specified in the Policy Schedule/ Certificate of Insurance .

Examples of Daily Allowance in a sentence

  • The Takaful Operator will pay the Participant the Family Daily Allowance Benefit as specified in the Certificate of Takaful for each twenty-four (24) hours that the Participant is confined in a Hospital during the Period of Takaful for the treatment of the Covered Bodily Injury sustained, less any indebtedness against the Certificate.

  • Daily Allowance For TÜBİTAK: It will be provided within the scope of the provisions of per diem Law numbered 6245.

  • The above Waiting Periods in Exclusions (a) and (b) and the Specific Exclusions to Benefit 1.1 (Hospital Daily Allowance) would be considered to have been served if the Insured Person was insured continuously and without interruption for at least 1 year under another Indian insurer’s individual health / Family Health insurance policy for the reimbursement of medical costs for inpatient treatment in a Hospital.

Daily Allowance means an amount per day granted or advanced to an Official for costs related to meals and other incidental costs for each day or part of a day in a period during which an Official is absent from his / her usual place of residence for official business, as determined annually by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) for purposes of Section 8(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1962 (Act No. 58 of 1962);
