Directed Time definition

Directed Time means time which counts towards the total of 1265 hours and will consist ofCore Time” and “Extended Time”.
Directed Time means time spent on any activity which the Principal has determined that teacher shall undertake. A teacher shall be available to perform such duties at such times and such places as may reasonably be specified by the Principal. All the time that a teacher has to be on school premises is included in Directed Time.
Directed Time means time dedicated to professional growth and development directed by district or school-based leadership.

Examples of Directed Time in a sentence

  • Where a teacher is not required to supervise at morning or afternoon break, or where this is done on a rota basis, this period must still be defined as Directed Time.

  • All activities related to PRSD time must be accommodated within Directed Time.

  • Meetings for all staff, including those with teaching allowances will be accommodated within Directed Time budgets.

  • Eight (8) of the ninety (90) minute early release occurrences shall be SDLT- Directed Time.

Directed Time. Teacher Directed Time is time used by Unit Member to write lessons, grade papers, analyze student data, meet with parents, meet with student(s), meet with colleague(s), or engage in other professional responsibilities that are scheduled and determined by the teacher. Teacher directed time may not be used for coaching or leader led grade level/department meetings or leader-led training unless determined by the unit member.
