Emergency notification service definition

Emergency notification service means an informational service that, upon activation by a public safety agency, uses the 9-1-1 database or a database derived from the 9-1-1 database to rapidly notify all telephone customers within a specified geographic area of hazardous conditions or emergent events that threaten their lives or property, including, without limitation, floods, fires, and hazardous materials incidents.
