Employee’s Duties. 11.1 Every employee must at all times:
(a) perform his/her duties with due care and diligence;
(b) comply with the lawful instructions of management;
(c) not engage in inappropriate behaviour; and
(d) comply with policies, procedures and rules in operation at the time.
11.2 In respect of policies, procedures and rules, subject to the law these may deal with such matters as: safe work practices, personal grooming and appearance, clothing and footwear, attendance at training programs, behaviour and performance standards, the searching of lockers, private bags and private vehicles, unauthorised absences, provision of full and accurate information and specific work practices. If at any stage an employee is in doubt about current requirements, he/she must seek clarification from his/her supervisor without delay.
11.3 In respect of such policies, procedures and rules:
(a) Linfox will consult with the TWU and, as appropriate, with TWU site-representatives regarding all current requirements and any proposed future requirements.
(b) Linfox will ensure that all employees are adequately informed of the requirements in place from time to time.
11.4 In the case of locker searches, the individual employee and, where he/she wishes, the union delegate or other readily available nominated employee, must be in attendance at the time.
11.5 All grievances and disputes about industrial matters must be handled strictly in accordance with the steps set out in clause 20 (Disputes). This includes, if the matter is not resolved at an earlier stage in the process, reference to the TWU State Secretary and, if still not resolved, reference to the Industrial Relations Commission.
11.6 All yard meetings during working time for Union business must be at an agreed time for a short duration without disruption to the operations of the contract.
Employee’s Duties. 14.01 All employees shall perform their duties in a businesslike, professional and courteous manner and shall not use abusive language on the air or to customers or to Owners Group staff while on duty.
14.02 All employees shall be neatly dressed, well-groomed, neat and clean in personal appearance.
14.03 All employees shall give a receipt on the authorised form of the Owners Group showing the date, plate number and driver's name when requested to do so by the passenger, or whenever there is a dispute over the fare.
14.04 Subject to the above and except when he has a previous engagement, the employee shall serve the first person requiring the service of his taxicab except when the prospective passenger:
(a) Is disorderly or abusive; or
(b) Is in possession of an animal other than guide animal; or
(c) Refuses to state his final destination upon entering the taxicab; or
(d) Has not paid a previous fare; or
(e) Refuses to pay in advance for flat rate fares; or
(f) The driver fears for his safety.
14.05 In the case of a home or family emergency requiring the immediate attention of the employee that is received through the dispatch telephone system of Blue Line, the dispatcher shall cover the call for the affected employee who shall immediately be reserved. The Owners Group shall not be liable for losses incurred by the employees reserved in such instances, nor shall such be grieved.
14.06 In the event a driver discovers a lost object in the taxicab, he shall immediately advise the dispatch supervisor of his findings with a description of the object, an approximate idea of who might have left said object, along with the pick-up and drop- off addresses of the customer, if possible. Within twenty-four (24) hours of an object's discovery, the driver shall take said object to the nearest Ottawa police station or to the Blue Line dispatch office at no cost or when directed to do so within the above mentioned twenty four (24) hours. A receipt for said object will be issued if requested.
14.07 Subject to Article 14.06, should the customer wish the immediate return of the lost object, the dispatcher shall notify the customer of the approximate metered cost of return from the location of the driver at that time and the employee shall return the object immediately to the customer at the standard metered rate.
14.08 The Company shall provide the drivers with a list of the flat rates which shall be updated and reissued within thirty (30) days of a meter increase.
Employee’s Duties. During the Term, Employee shall serve as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Company, with such customary duties and responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned to him by the Company or the Chief Executive Officer, provided that such duties are at all times consistent with the duties of such position. Notwithstanding the foregoing, during the Term, Employee may engage in the following activities so long as they do not interfere in any material respect with the performance of Employee’s duties and responsibilities hereunder: (i) serve on corporate, civic or charitable boards or committees, (ii) deliver lectures, fulfill speaking engagements or teach on a part-time basis at educational institutions but not more than 20 hours per month, and (iii) manage his personal investments; provided, however, that in no event shall the conduct of any such activities by Employee be deemed to materially interfere with Employee’s duties hereunder until Employee has been notified in writing thereof by the Chief Executive Officer and given a reasonable period in which to cure such interference. In addition, Employee shall be permitted to manage his personal investments provided that such management shall not interfere in any material respect with the performance of Employee’s duties and responsibilities hereunder or violate Company’s conflicts policy as in effect from time to time. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Company agrees that Employee’s management of his current personal investments, as disclosed to Company prior to the Effective Date, shall not be deemed to materially interfere with his duties hereunder.

Employee’s Duties. Employee affirms and undertakes throughout the term of this Agreement:
3.1. To devote his entire working time, know-how, expertise, talent, experience and best efforts to the business and affairs of the Company and to the performance of his duties to the Company, to perform and discharge well and faithfully, with devotion, honesty and fidelity, his obligations pursuant to his Position, and to comply with all the Company’s disciplinary regulations, work rules, policies, procedures and objectives, as may be determined by the Company from time to time.
3.2. To travel abroad from time to time if and as may be required pursuant to his Position.
3.3. Not to receive, at any time, whether during the term of this Agreement and/or at any time thereafter, directly or indirectly, any payment, benefit and/or other consideration, from any third party in connection with his employment with the Company, without the Company’s prior written authorization.
3.4. To immediately and without delay inform the Company of any affairs and/or matters that might constitute a conflict of interest with Employee’s Position and/or employment with Company and/or the interests of the Company.
3.5. Not, without the prior written consent of the Company, to undertake or accept any other paid or unpaid employment or occupation or engage in or be associated with, directly or indirectly, any other businesses, duties or pursuits except for de minimis non-commercial or non-business activities.
3.6. To adhere to any applicable law or provision, pertaining to his employment.
3.7. To protect the good name of the Company and not to perform any act that may bring the Company into disrepute.
3.8. To comply with the Company’s Policy for Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace, as appears on the Company’s Notice Board, and undertakes to act in accordance with said policy.
3.9. To keep the contents of this Agreement confidential and not to disclose the existence or contents of this Agreement to any third party without the prior written consent of the Company.
