Equality Act 2010 definition

Equality Act 2010 means the legislation that protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society. It replaced previous anti-discrimination laws with a single Act, making the law easier to understand and strengthening protection in some situations. It sets out the different ways in which it’s unlawful to treat someone.

  • The Contractor shall comply with the Equality Act 2010 and all applicable amendments, regulations and Codes of Practice or any future or other legislation which concerns discrimination in employment and service delivery (the “Equalities Provisions”).The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to procure the observance of the Equalities Provisions by those of its Personnel engaged in providing the Goods or Services.
