Findings statement definition

Findings statement means a written statement prepared by each involved agency, in accordance with section 617.11 of this Part, after a final EIS has been filed, that considers the relevant environmental impacts presented in an EIS, weighs and balances them with social, economic and other essential considerations, provides a rationale for the agency's decision and certifies that the SEQR requirements have been met.

Findings statement means the Statement of Environmental Findings approved by the Agency with respect to the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront Development Project on December 16, 1998 by Agency Resolution No. 26-1998, in accordance with SEQRA as well as the related negative declaration approved by the Yonkers City Council on May 23, 2000 by City Council Resolution No. 120-2000, in accordance with SEQRA.
