Functional Exercise definition

Functional Exercise means a time-pressured exercise of a minimum of four functions of the emergency operations plan, involving strategic and tactical decision making, including the direction and control function, activating the emergency operations center or the incident command post, or both.
Functional Exercise this type is a fully simulated, interactive exercise. It tests capabilities to respond to a simulated emergency testing one or more emergency management functions. Full-Scale Exercise: a full-scale exercise is as close to a real disaster as possible. It is a field exercise designed to evaluate the operational capability of emergency management systems in a highly stressful environment, which simulates actual response conditions.
Functional Exercise means a guided session where a simulated operational environment trains and evaluates specific personnel, procedures, or resources on scenarios relating to the discharge of oil or hazardous substances.

Functional Exercise means a simulation conducted by a team in which participants determine what actions should be taken in response to an Occurrence scenario and convey decisions and directions back to the simulators. The exercise must not interrupt service or compromise service levels.

  • Stock Tender Exercise means a Stock Tender Exercise as defined in Section 6.3(b)(ii).
