Game Console definition

Game Console means a device designed primarily for the playing of electronic games which is also capable of receiving protected audiovisual content via a built-in IP connection, and transmitting such content to a television or other display device, including such a device manufactured by or on behalf of Microsoft, branded “Xbox” and running Microsoft’s MSTV/Mediaroom television platform (“Xbox Console”). A Game Console shall meet the Content Protection Requirements and Obligations and support the Approved Format.
Game Console means (a) Microsoft’s Xbox 360 game console, (b) Sony’s PLAYSTATION®3 game console or (c) Nintendo Wii game console.
Game Console means a device that is designed and marketed primarily for video game usage and that the consumer does not have the ability to add or remove system memory or a central processing unit.

  • Licensee retains all rights, title and interest in and to the Licensee Software, including without limitation, Licensee's Intellectual Property Rights therein, and nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to restrict the right of Licensee to develop products incorporating the Licensee Software (separate and apart from the Sony Materials) for any hardware platform or service other than the PlayStation Game Console.

  • Sony and Licensee have entered into a Developer Agreement, dated as of January 12, 1996, regarding the development of educational software for the PlayStation Game Console (hereinafter the "Developer Agreement").

  • Licensee shall not make use of any of the Sony Materials and PlayStation Game Console or any Intellectual Property Rights related to the Sony Materials and PlayStation Game Console (or any portion thereof) except as authorized by and in compliance with the provisions of this License Agreement or as may be otherwise expressly authorized in writing by Sony.

  • Subject to the rights granted by Sony to Licensee hereunder, all rights with respect to the Sony Materials and PlayStation Game Console, including without limitation, all of Sony's Intellectual Property Rights therein, are and shall be the exclusive property of Sony.

Game Console means a mains-powered standalone device which is designed to provide video game playing as its primary function. A game console is typically designed to provide output to an external display as the main game-play display. Game consoles typically include a CPU, system memory and a graphics processing unit(s) (GPU), and may contain hard drives or other internal storage options, and optical drives. Game consoles typically utilise handheld controllers or other interactive controllers as their primary input device rather than an external keyboard or mouse. Game consoles do not typically include conventional personal computing operating systems but instead utilise console-specific operating systems. Handheld gaming devices, with an inte­ grated display as the primary game-play display, and which primarily operate on an integrated battery or other portable power source rather than via a direct connection to an AC power source, are considered to be a type of game console;
Game Console means an IP-enabled hardware device used by a Customer that (i) is designed primarily for playing video games, (ii) supports the Approved Format, (iii) is capable of implementing the Usage Rules, (iv) satisifies the Content Protection Obligations and Requirements set forth in Schedule B-2 and (v) receives Included Programs solely by the Approved Transmission Means applicable to Downloading Devices.
