Home Contents definition

Home Contents means household furniture and furnishing, clothing and personal effects belonging to the Person Covered or to the Person Covered’s Family or domestic servants permanently residing with the Person Covered and fixtures and fittings that the Person Covered owns (or for which the Person Covered is responsible) not being landlord’s fixtures and fittings excluding jewellery, gem stones, deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, cheques, travellers’ cheques, securities for money, documents of any kind, cash or currency notes.

Examples of Home Contents in a sentence

  • If You suffer loss of or damage to Your Home Contents within Your Home in Malaysia that was left vacant during Your Journey due to burglary, We will, at Our sole discretion, reimburse, repair or replace the lost or damaged Home Contents subject to the market value of the Home Contents at the time of lost or damaged and deduction for loss of value due to usage and age of the item based on Our depreciation rates.

  • Notice must be given to the police immediately upon the Insured Person becoming aware of the loss or damage to the Home Contents as a result of the burglary.

Home Contents means all household goods and personal effects at Insured Person home in Malaysia which belong to you or your family, or for which you or your family are legally responsible, including furniture and furnishings, carpets whether fixed or unfixed, children’s motor or trail bikes, garden equipment or motorized wheelchairs if they are not registered as motor vehicles.
