Homeless Persons definition

Homeless Persons means homeless persons as defined in the Stewart B. McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. § 11301 et seq., as amended by the Homeless Emergency and Rapid Transition to Housing Act of 2009, and the regulations promulgated pursuant thereto.
Homeless Persons means persons sleeping in a place not meant for human habitation, in an Emergency Shelter, or in other emergency housing and persons who otherwise are homeless pursuant to the HEARTH Act (42 USC §11302).
Homeless Persons means persons meeting the definition of homeless persons set forth in the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇ Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11301 et seq.) and their families. Homeless Persons may include those with mental illnesses, substance abuse histories, medical challenges, and/or other barriers to stable housing.

  • The Contractor shall assess the homeless population by implementing and maintaining a customized outreach plan for Homeless Persons population, including victims of domestic violence.

  • Homeless Persons Involvement – To the maximum extent practicable, the jurisdiction will involve, through employment, volunteer services, or otherwise, homeless individuals and families in constructing, renovating, maintaining, and operating facilities assisted under the ESG program, in providing services assisted under the ESG program, and in providing services for occupants of facilities assisted under the program.

  • Homeless Persons Involvement: To the maximum extent practicable, it will involve, through employment, volunteer services, or otherwise, homeless individuals and families in constructing, renovating, maintaining, and operating facilities, and providing services assisted through this program.

  • Homeless 6 Persons cannot be denied admission to the Housing Site on the basis that Pallet Shelters are 7 reserved for other Homeless Persons who have been or will be subject to Enforcement efforts by 8 the City or referrals by the City or third parties with one exception.

  • Lessor’s approval shall not be unreasonably withheld for a non-profit corporation or public entity with substantial successful experience managing housing for Homeless Persons.


More Definitions of Homeless Persons

Homeless Persons means persons who do not have homes and live as such on the roadside, pavements, or in such other places, or in the open, including persons living in shelters for homeless or beggars or such other homes;
Homeless Persons or “homeless people” means those individuals or families lacking who lack or are perceived to lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, or having who have a primary nighttime residence in a shelter, on the street, in a vehicle, in an enclosure or structure that is not authorized or fit for human habitation, in a substandard apartment, dwelling, staying temporarily with friends or families, or staying in transitional housing programs or habitation. “Homeless” also means a person whose only residence is a residential hotel or who is residing anywhere without tenancy rights, and families with children staying in a residential hotel whether or not they have tenancy rights.
