Index Date definition

Index Date. The Index Date is the Contract Date and the same day of each month thereafter. If the same day does not exist in a month, such as the 31st, We use the first preceding day. Example: If the Contract Date is January 31, 2009, the next Index Date is February 28, 2009, and the last day of each month thereafter. CONTRACT YEAR, ANNIVERSARY: We compute Contract Years and Anniversaries from the Contract Date. Example: If the Contract Date is January 1, 2009, the first Contract Year ends on December 31, 2009, and the first Anniversary falls on January 1, 2010. CAP RATES: The percentages shown on Page 4, used in calculating the Index Credits as described on Page 10. We declare the Cap Rates annually in advance. The Cap Rates will never be less than the Guaranteed Minimum Cap Rate and are guaranteed for the Cap Rate Guarantee Period shown on Page 4.
Index Date. 1 January each year commencing 1 January 2004
Index Date means, in the case of Participant who is employed on the Effective Date and who has attained 45 on or before the Effective Date, the first day of the Calendar Year in which such Participant attained age 45. In the case of a Participant who is employed on the Effective Date and has not yet attained age 45 as of the Effective Date, the term Index Date means the first day of the Calendar Year in which the Participant attains the age of 45 plus "n" where "n" equals the number of years from the beginning of the Participant's first year of participation in this Plan prior to the year in which the Participant attains age 45. In the case of a Participant who is hired after the Effective Date, and who attains age 45 prior to becoming a Participant in the Plan, the Index Date shall be the first day of the Calendar Year in which the Participant attained age 45. In the case of a Participant who is hired after the Effective Date and who has not attained age 45 prior to commencing participation in the Plan, the Index Date shall be the first day of the Calendar Year in which the executive attains age 45 plus "n" where "n" equals the number of years, if any, from the beginning of the Participant's first year of participation in this Plan prior to the year in which the Participant attains age 45.

Examples of Index Date in a sentence

  • Upon receiving a report from the Independent Engineer certifying the achievement of the below mentioned Payment Milestones5, the Authority shall disburse, within 15 (fifteen) days of the receipt of each such report, an installment equal to 4% (four per cent) of the Bid Project Cost, adjusted for the Price Index Multiple as applicable on the Reference Index Date preceding the date of that report.
