Index Figure definition

Index Figure means, subject as provided in Condition 5(c)(i), the U.K. Retail Price Index (RPl) (for all items) published by the Office for National Statistics (January 1987 = 100) or any comparable index which may replace the U.K. Retail Price Index for the purpose of calculating the amount payable on repayment of the Reference Gilt (the “RPI”). Any reference to the Index Figure:
Index Figure means the figure calculated by applying the Index to the facts relevant on the date the Variable Indexed Amount is calculated.
Index Figure means any Index Figure appropriate to sub-clause (1) of this Clause.‌

  • At the commencement of each Lease Year the CPI-U for the preceding August (“Measure Month”) shall be ascertained and noted and the rent commencing with the start of such period of the Lease shall be adjusted by increasing the Basic Rent, percentage wise, as the said CPI-U for the Measure Month has increased as compared with the CPI-U of the Base Index Figure.

  • There shall be no adjustment if the CPI-U of the Measure Month is lower than the Based Index Figure.
