Open Access Consumer definition

Open Access Consumer means a consumer who is eligible to receive supply of electricity from a person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply;
Open Access Consumer means any person permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply, and “open access” shall be construed accordingly. The expression “open access consumer” includes a generating company and a licensee, who has availed of or intends to avail of open access;
Open Access Consumer means a consumer permitted by the Distribution Licensee / Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person, other than the Distribution Licensee of his area of supply, and the expression(s) includes a generator and a licensee, who has availed of open access.

  • Open Access User shall make reasonable endeavour to ensure that actual demand at the Consumer interconnection point (exit point) do not exceed the net allocated capacity (gross capacity minus loss) in case of Open Access Consumer and sum of net allocated Capacity and Contracted Demand in case of scheduled consumer.

  • Similarly, Open Access User shall also maintain Power Factor of the Electricity delivered for transmitting / wheeling at 0.9 as per the reading taken from export meters at Interconnection Point, failing which the Open Access User shall pay Power factor surcharge as applicable to the Open Access Consumer.

  • Open Access User shall make reasonable endeavour to ensure that actual demand at the interconnection point does not exceed the allocated capacity in case of Open Access Consumer and (Allocated Capacity+ Contracted Maximum Demand) in case of scheduled consumer.

More Definitions of Open Access Consumer

Open Access Consumer means any licensee (emphasis added) or consumer or buyer or a person engaged in generation who has been granted open access in accordance with these regulations;
Open Access Consumer means a consumer availing open access under sub- section (2) of section 42 of the Act;

Open Access Consumer means a person who has availed open access either under CERC (Open Access in Inter-State Transmission) Regulations, 2008 (as amended) or under MPERC (Terms and conditions for Intra-State Open Access in Madhya Pradesh) Regulations, 2005 and shall include Short-term Transmission/Distribution Consumers also as defined in any other Regulations specified by CERC/MPERC from time to time;
